The Philippine Institute of Quezon City got the approval of the Philippine Accrediting Association of School, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) as an applicant institution. The school was informed through a letter by the PAASCU Executive Director, Concepcion V Pijano in a letter dated 28 February 2018. In her letter, Mrs Pijano congratulated the Basic Education Department (Grade School and Junior High School) of Philippine Institute of Quezon City for taking this initial step toward quality education. The numerous requirements for the membership was submitted in October 2017.
The PAASCU sent a copy of the evaluation instrument and the CD. The work for the institutional self-survey begins in May.
