Two students from PIQC, Erin Megan Chao (incoming Grade 4) and Carmella Tan (incoming Grade 6), participated at the International Mathematics Wizard Challenge (IMWIC) held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5-6 May 2018. The bronze medal was won by Carmella Tan. This was reported by Ghia Relucio, Math Coordinator.
The IMWIC is a coordinating council composed of various organizations, namely; Mathematics Education Clinic (MEC, Indonesia), Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MathDAP) and Fujian-Oversea Cooperation. The organization is geared towards uplifting the interest of teenagers in mathematics.
