PIQC Teachers Learn the Use of Various Apple Apps From Peers

The PIQC Committee on Technology which is a Principal’s Committee, held its first teacher-training on the appropriate and structured use of iPad in the classroom on 15 May 2018 at the PIQC Little Theater. This was participated by teachers from Kinder 2 to Senior High School. The seminar served as a refresher and additional learning on integrating some useful and appropriate Apple Educational Applications in teaching and learning in line with the SAMR model, Bloom’s Taxonomy and The Pedagogy Wheel which is adopted from the Apple

The seminar had the following objectives:

  • Engage all the teachers from K2- Senior High School to use technology in the instruction at least under substitution and augmentation levels of SAMR Model.
  • Introduce relevant Apple Educational Applications to facilitate classes.
  • Remind the teachers on how to use the projector and printer properly.
  • Continually update teachers technologically.

The technology committee presented common iPad applications that are being used by most of the teachers and categorized each on which level it falls under SAMR model.  Below is the flow of the said activity.
