Earth Warriors Off the Leash
IGNITE (Campus Ministry Club) and FORCES (Science Club) collaborated on a planting activity on October 30, 2019 at the Cedar Hills Garden Center in Quezon City. It was attended by members of the said clubs from Gr 5 to Gr 12, senior high students from the STEM strand, and teachers.
It was the aim of this activity to give an opportunity for the students and teachers a first-hand experience in urban gardening. It was also a venue for students from different levels to enhance camaraderie among themselves. The teachers enjoyed the entirety of the gardening experience as well.
There was a tour around the whole garden and a seminar on urban gardening facilitated by the accommodating staff of the place. There was also a re-potting session where the students and teachers get to bring home their re-potted plant.
