Grade 11 Goes to Green Cross Inc

Students at the Senior High School were given the chance to visit the plant of the Green Cross plant. The experience made the students gained knowledge about what goes on in a “real workplace”.

Green Cross Inc are the makers of the well-known Green Cross Isopropyl alcohol, Zonrox, and Greenex.  It was an educational tour that supplemented lessons learned in Chemistry, and Research. The students also saw the actual production of a product from the raw materials to packaging.

The tour started with a short presentation of rules and reminders which were done by the Green Cross technical staff. Students were given a head cap and vest for safety purposes and after which proceeded to the Quality Assurance department.

The tour allowed the students to learn about the different processes involved in the production of a product from the Quality Assurance of raw materials to the final product (Zonrox). The students were shown how a bleach of different sizes and kinds is created starting from the raw material until how it is packaged to be sent to the warehouse.  The last past of the tour brought the students to the warehouse where all products produced and packaged are stored before they are delivered.

The students were accompanied by the Principal Ms. Marissa Ayson and teachers , Dr. Alicia Padua (Research) , Ms. Tamayo (Asst Principal) , and Ms. Christine Gabaon (Class Adviser) . The entire group was invited by the CEO of Green Cross for lunch at the Palms Country Club in Alabang.
