PIQC Students Get Top Awards From ICAS

Nine students from PIQC participated in the 2017 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS). The students took the Science assessment. Sebastian Calderon of Grade 4 Kindness obtained a High Distinction Award which means that he was at the upper 2% in over 20 countries of participating schools and at the upper 1% in the entire Asia Pacific Region. Carmela Tan of Grade 5 Honesty and Sofia Manding of Grade 7 Humility got Certificate of Credits. Sofia Manding placed at the upper 25% of all the schools that participated while Tan placed at the upper 46%. The ICAS assesses the students’ higher order thinking and problem-solving skills.
